Melissa Tafoya

I am an Eastern North Carolinian born and raised. I am very fortunate to have called Jacksonville, NC my hometown for over 48 years. I have served in numerous avenues over my time here. I am the very proud daughter of a retired Marine, I was an educator in Onslow County for over 17 years, I coached several sports in our community, served in my home church and surrounding areas. Being part of a supportive and loving community where I was able to raise my son and now watch him and his wife raise their daughter is a blessing like no other. A love for helping others has always been a huge part of who I am. Living in an area that is frequently impacted by Hurricane's, I have seen first hand the devastation a storm can bring as well as the compassion it brings out in our fellow neighbors. This compassion, this love for others guided me from education to insurance, where I can continue my passion of helping and educating others.

I started with State Farm in 2016, where I learned how to provide exceptional coverage to my customers, ranging from auto insurance, homeowners insurance, renters insurance, boat insurance, travel trailer/park model insurance, life insurance to commercial insurance. I opened my doors in Morehead City in 2016 and later moved my office to Jacksonville, NC in 2019. This opportunity has and continues to be an amazing journey. My team is AMAZING and we are all blessed to serve our policyholders. Being a small business owner, I have been given the opportunity to help my community protect what they have worked so hard to obtain. I am able to inform others about the numerous policies we have to not only protect their home and auto, but their business' and life. I am truly proud to be serving in my hometown and I am looking forward to watching my agency continue to grow. We love serving our community of Jacksonville, Richlands, Beulaville, Maysville, Swansboro, Emerald Isle, Atlantic Beach, Newport, New Bern including all of Onslow, Duplin, Carteret and Craven Counties.
